German A1 – The Accelerated German for Beginners Course – 120 hours

Course Description

The Accelerated German for Beginners Course (German A1) is designed for you to learn the German language within the shortest time possible. It usually takes 120 hours to complete and prepares you for German Start Deutsch Zertifikat A1 or ÖSD Zertifikat A1 (ZA1) – OSD.

Our German A1 course is divided into 4 sessions of 30 hours each. There is a Continuous Assessment Test (CAT) at the end of every session, and you are expected to score at least 60% in the four sessions.

There will be a comprehensive, end-of-course Final Examination at the end of the A1 course (internal).

Progression to German A2 requires a 60% pass in the final A1 exam in the four language skills :

• Speaking – 60%
• Reading  –  60%
• Writing    –  60%
• Listening  – 60%

NB: Missing 3 lessons in a month leads to discontinuation or a deferral to the next available session. So, you’ll have to take your German lessons seriously.

Certification

We shall issue an end-of-course internal exam to demonstrate your performance during the course. Moreover, we encourage you to register for internationally recognized examinations such as ÖSD Zertifikat A1 (ZA1) and Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Start Deutsch 1
